TyrRewards is seeking a Automation Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing the backend infrastructure for our marketing automation systems. You will collaborate closely with our marketing and analytics teams to automate workflows, streamline email campaigns, and develop systems that enable personalised user engagement at scale.
1) Design and implement robust backend systems to power TyrRewards' marketing automation efforts.
2) Develop and maintain APIs to integrate marketing automation tools with internal and external systems.
3) Automate customer segmentation, email marketing workflows, and audience targeting based on behavioural and engagement data.
4) Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to define technical requirements for automated marketing campaigns.
5) Ensure system scalability and high performance in handling large volumes of user data.
6) Integrate marketing systems with CRM platforms, email marketing tools, and analytics services.
7) Monitor and optimise system performance, ensuring real-time data flow between marketing platforms and TyrRewards' infrastructure.
8) Maintain data integrity and security standards, ensuring compliance with data privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA.
9) Implement performance tracking tools for marketing campaigns, providing real-time reporting and insights.
10) Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipeline management to ensure smooth deployments.
1) 3+ years of experience in backend development with a focus on marketing automation systems.
2) Proficient in server-side languages such as Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Java.
3) Hands-on experience with RESTful API development and third-party API integration.
4) Strong understanding of email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, or ActiveCampaign).
5) Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
6) Knowledge of email deliverability best practices (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and CRM integrations.
7) Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deploying backend services.
8) Familiarity with CI/CD processes and version control using Git.
9) Experience with data privacy and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
10) Ability to optimise backend systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.
11) Familiar with Microservice and event-driven architecture
Knowledge of personalization algorithms for targeting marketing campaigns.
Experience in the mobile advertising or rewarded platforms industry.
Familiarity with marketing analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar platforms.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities when working with cross-functional teams.
